i proposed to this person to have the event on thursday the 26th, starting at around 21:30 CET...
answer:
[13:58] Luzo Orbit: Sounds perfect. Let's go with that. I'll give you an mp3 link on the day to play first. I'll put something on my blog by the end of the week as an introduction to SP and to publicise it to my group too, which you can direct people too.
so if this is ok for all of you, i suppose we have an event to anounce
general idea is some explanation about the SP (the audio file), followed by a chance to ask questions.... If lots of people should come, we may need to find a way to ask the questions in a structured manner (eg having them im the questions to a certain person which then asks the questions in public to the SP people), but i don't think it'll be necessary.... Maybe start thinking already about some questions to ask, just like you had to do at school lol
maybe we also need to think about sth to give to this guy... (tip jar? flowers?
) to show our gratitude for him coming....

luzo asked me whether we could set the event a little later, at 1 pm SLT (that's 22 CET i think?), so I think that should be possible, i'm gussing the event in total will probably take not much more then 1 hour....
I'll ask him how long the audio bit takes, maybe i can provide closed captioning for it....
I'm also looking for someone to play the audio file for us to the stremaing server (i have a streaming server, so that's oki, just seem to have problems with my audio chip as where streaming is concerned, and my webconnection can be quite buggy
), so if there's anyone with a stable broadband web connection....

ok, it's sorted out, more info about the event(s):
there's also some tasks that need to be done, take a look if you're interested!

Hi Folks
An organization called " The Simultaneous Policy" have a presence in Second Life. ( http://slurl.com/secondlife/Tangun/231/216/64 )
I think they sound very interesting - I was at an event there today about democracy and companies.
Look at the site - It is a bit tricky to understand the philosophy, but it sounds as a very interesting place for us Babylonians.
Quote from http://www.simpol.org/
The Simultaneous Policy is a peaceful political strategy to democratically drive all the world's nations to apply global solutions to global problems, including combatting global warming and environmental destruction, regulating economic globalization for the good of all, and delivering social justice, peace and security, and sustainable prosperity.
